How cataracts are diagnosed
A cataract evaluation includes:

Cataracts cannot be corrected with glasses or medication. The only effective treatment is cataract surgery, a quick outpatient procedure that replaces the cloudy natural lens with a clear artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL).
