in-office treatments
The in‑office therapies we offer support your eye comfort and long‑term ocular health. Each option is carefully selected by our providers to address the underlying causes of your conditions, using safe, effective, and clinically proven approaches.
Valeda® Light Therapy for Dry AMD
Valeda is an FDA‑authorized, non‑invasive light‑based treatment designed to support visual function in patients with dry age‑related macular degeneration (AMD). Using gentle LED photobiomodulation, Valeda targets the retinal cells responsible for energy production and overall eye health. Each session is quick and comfortable, making it an accessible option for many patients.
While Valeda is not a cure for dry AMD, clinical studies show that it can help improve visual function and support retinal health over time. Treatment is completed in a series of nine sessions over three weeks, and your provider may recommend repeating the cycle periodically to maintain results.

LipiFlow® Thermal Pulsation Treatment

LipiFlow® is an in‑office treatment designed to target Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), the leading cause of dry eye. Using gentle, controlled heat and therapeutic pressure, LipiFlow® warms and clears blocked oil glands in the eyelids—helping restore a healthier tear film and relieve symptoms like burning, irritation, and fluctuating vision. The treatment takes about 12 minutes and is performed comfortably right in our office.
Most patients find the procedure very tolerable and return to normal activities immediately afterward. While some notice improvement quickly, results typically continue to build over several weeks as the glands resume more natural oil flow. LipiFlow® offers a modern, effective alternative to traditional gland expression and is an important option for patients seeking long‑term relief from MGD‑related dry eye.
punctal plugs
Punctal plugs are tiny, comfortable devices placed in the natural tear ducts to help keep moisture on the surface of the eye. By slowing tear drainage, they help relieve symptoms like dryness, burning, and irritation—especially for patients who haven’t found enough relief with artificial tears alone.
In our office, punctal plug insertion is a quick, in‑clinic procedure. After selecting the right size and type of plug, your provider gently places it in the tear duct, often without the need for numbing drops. Most patients return to normal activities right away and enjoy improved tear retention and greater day‑to‑day comfort.

BlephEx® Eyelid Cleaning

BlephEx® is an in‑office eyelid cleaning treatment performed by an eye care professional to help maintain healthy eyelid hygiene. Over time, debris and buildup can collect along the lash line, contributing to irritation, dryness, and inflammation. BlephEx® uses a gentle, handheld device with a soft, disposable micro‑sponge to carefully clean the eyelid margins and remove this buildup
We also provide several in‑office laser treatments for cataracts and glaucoma. To learn more about these procedures, click here.
