I have had excellent eye care over about 20 years from Dr Barnebey and his staff, including cataract surgery for my mother. It’s the unexpectedly negative reviews that prompted me to write now. This clinic truly lives up to the “care” in their name. I’ve consistently found the staff meticulous, systematic and focused. Their no-nonsense efficiency is matched with attention, respect and responsiveness, with rare and insignificant lapses. I should know because I’m the kind of patient who asks many questions and likes to understand and consider alternatives. Occasionally, I did experience long wait times mentioned in other reviews, but in those cases, I ask the front desk about the reason and how many other patients are ahead, then act accordingly. Meticulous care can mean a patient can require more time than expected. As we say in my own profession “quality over schedule”. That said, I’ve also noticed that timeliness has improved in recent years.

This doctor is really passionate about his work he may come off a little agitated at times but he means well. I thank him every chance I get cause he did help prolong the vision my mom has left.

I do not understand the negative reviews! I have had a positive experience, do far. Everyone in the office to the OR is professional, friendly, and Dr Barnebey is all business, the way it should be, answers questions, fills in when techs are backed up; not many docs would step in to help patience when the staff is busy! I cannot comment on the eyesight, yet, because I am only a few weeks out from surgery, but I am hopeful. I got the PanOptix too.

Dr. Barneby and his staff are incredible. I first used his services to correct eye pressure problems. As a professional Airline Pilot I sought Dr. Barneby to correct the problem without eye drops. He used cutting edge technologies to fix my eye pressure without eye drops. When my wife developed cataracts, Dr. Barneby gave her new lenses. When my mother required cataract surgery, Dr. Barneby made her vision perfect again as well. This Spring I had cataract surgery in both eyes. For me, Dr. Barneby recommended Acrysoft Toric lenses. Though expensive, I can now see perfectly. 20/20 in both eyes (near, medium and far) within 2 weeks and my eye pressure is still safe. Dr. Barneby and his staff practice human factors procedures to prevent errors and make the right choices for your vision and you. Dr. Barnebey is a miracle worker. Most recently, my 94 year old father was blind in one eye. He had scar tissue which grew over his pupil. Dr. Barnebey performed a procedure on his eye and now my father has good vision in his eye. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Barnebey for almost 20 years and our daughter is a patient as well. We would not think of going anywhere else for care. Dr. Barnebey is extremely knowledgeable and professional and we feel blessed that we have a health professional of his caliber. I highly recommend Dr. Barnebey. He is a leading authority in his field.

Dr. Barnaby is simply the best there is. I’ve had glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery, and recently laser capsulotomy. All have gone extremely well with great care before and after. Highly recommend Dr. Howard Barnaby as well as his staff.

Beautiful building with INCREDIBLE STAFF. They explain everything completely and are sweet and fun. Got there at 8am, husband had glaucoma AND cataract fixed and were done by 10am. Walked around Bellevue Square (had lunch at Kizuki - highly recommend that...) ALREADY he could see better in his "surgeried" eye with no contact than he could out of his other eye WITH a contact. He's looking forward to the other eye ASAP. Oh, BTW... Dr. Barnaby is THE BOMB. He is a friendly, down to earth doctor with an amazing talent. We wouldn't even CONSIDER going to another eye surgeon. A++++++++

My family has experienced excellent service here for years! Dr. Barnebey recently removed my cataracts and inserted permanent lenses and I now have the best eyes of my entire life. Everyone there is highly professional and is always meticulous about attention to all details.
